SYDNEY & PORT MACQUARIE PHOTOS!!
Was in Sydney and Port Macquarie from 23 Dec to 3 Jan 2007 - spent Christmas and New Year 2007 with the Sydney OCFers. Here's like a collection of random photos from trish and my camera... hehe when I looked at the photos, I think I really did have a great time with them in Sydney. Just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you for making my Christmas 2006 a good one! :) Also managed to catch the Sydney fireworks - the Harbour Bridge one on NYE - although there are no photos here cos everything was so (so) crowded. But you can find photos of the fireworks on http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/nye/ - that's the official website of the NYE Sydney fireworks every year. :)

Port Macquarie (24/12) - with a statue of Sir Edmund Barton, Australia's first PM (1901 - 1903).

Timbertown... somewhere near Port Macquarie. On the steam train to well, no where. Just a ride around the Timbertown haha. The five on the left are: James Chan, James Tang, Jonathan, Poh Bwee, Samantha. And the three on the right are: me, Nat (centre), and John Tang. Trish's missing in this photo cos she's taking the photo.

Timbertown. Admiring some horse.

Timbertown. Still on the horse theme.

This is in Port Stephens... the lookout I think... 27/12. Very beautiful group photo of all 9 of us. Was a very very long walk up to the lookout though... think we climbed up for like 30 minutes.

Port Stephens lookout... I like this photo hehe... very casual.

Port Stephens lookout... from another angle.

Timbertown - in front of the, as suggested earlier, working steam train.

Playing Risk in our holiday chalet.... look how serious we are! lol. Strategy, strategy, strategy.

Christmas dinner... lots of ham and turkey.

Me eating sandwiches... don't remember where is this exactly, though I know it's about a 30 minutes drive from Port Macquarie.

The 3 girls. Look at the view behind it!!

Again.

And again!! Nice views all around.

Hmm shorter than trish in this one! It's a slope we're on.

Port Macquarie.

Dinner on 24/12. Arrived safely in Port Macquarie after 6+hours drive from Sydney. And it was raining big-time. For a while, there was even hale falling on Nat's car.

Random shot of 5 of us in the car. :)

Took a rest-stop in this little town called Bulahdelah.

Sandboarding!!! In Port Stephens. Was so fun I tell you. THIS is not fun though - climbing back up the steep sand-dunes after speeding down the slope. Look at how steeeeep it is.

Closer picture of the steepness. I had lots of fun sandboarding though... haha challenging each other who can speed down the fastest.

Another very lovely group photo on top of the sand-dunes.

This is the slope we had to whiz down on. Note how small those 2 people are at the bottom.

And again.

Camels in Australia. lol.

This is back in Sydney I think. At Watson's Bay.

Watson's Bay.

Darling Harbour, Sydney.

My Sydney friends said someone was murdered here or sth... so the police cordoned off part of the lookout...

Watson's Bay.

Rock formations at La Perouse, another beach.. this one is closer to UNSW (University of New South Wales).

La Perouse. Beyond the gates is where part of Mission Impossible 1 or 2 was filmed.

Coogee Beach. Probably won't see scenes like this in Perth beaches... only something that seems unique to Sydney, and TV shows!

Sydney Fish Market.

Lunch shared by about 7 of us I think... there was sashimi too on the other plate.

Coogee beach... eating ice-cream.

La Perouse.

Sydney Chinatown.

Darling Harbour, Sydney.

In front of the... Sydney Opera House!

Sydney University... Australia's oldest university (1850)... The earliest building of USYD - the Great Hall.

Opera House just before it started to rain. This is actually quite nice, don't u reckon.

Another group photo... 1/1/2007 - after dinner at Pancakes on the Rocks. Wish this photo was bigger though.

Last but not least, the Sydney Bridge on 30/12/2006, where preparations were gearing up for the big day tomorrow (31/12). The reason why there's a shape of a clothes hanger is because the Bridge's nickname is a clothes hanger - note the bridge's shape. Kind of bizzare, but yeah. The Bridge turns 75 this year. :)
