ARGH!!!! Alexander Downer is giving a lecture and hosting a luncheon at UWA today - and I only knew about it this morning. And I can't make it cos' I'm going to Swan Valley and Caversham National Park, which has already been paid for last week....
His lecture is entitled "Interfaith Dialogue and Australian Approaches", hosted by UWA's Centre of Muslim States and Societies.
In case you didn't know, and I'm sure that wouldn't be the case, Alexander Downer is the Foreign Affairs Minister, a position which he has held since March 1996. It must have been such a rare opportunity to hear him speak, but I can't make it.
