Woke up today feeling really awful... Think it's the change in seasons. It's definitely becoming colder.. the nights are always 14 - 17 C these days. Feels like Siberia. Or maybe it's the realisation that I might lose a good friend, me not knowing what to do in myself. Or maybe it's the History essay that is due next Friday.. Or maybe..
Dreamt that I was a sailor.. living a very transient and ephemeral life. On some lone boat sailing in the Pacfic Ocean. You know that type of melancholy.. Hey, jw is that what you feel when you're out there sailing as well? And then you dock on some port. And the regular officers go and "have" women. Love only exists as a sin. A hollow sexual fantasy.
Had four lectures in a row.. that's Thursday for you. The four units have consecutive lectures from 11am to 3pm.. so there's never really any lunch on a Thursday.
Was about to settle in the computer at the Reid Library when the fire alarm started ringing.. and everyone thought it was some moron that left off the alarm or another fire drill. So everyone just continued doing their stuff, watching their movies etc. Then we had all these librarians donning red caps asking everyone to evacuate.. apparently (and this is quite dodgy) there was some fire somewhere, or so they said. Darn. My history books are up in flames. Think they said so to create that "real" effect. So the whole library was shooed out.. and there was this huge crowd at the James Oval, which is like a football field shaped in an oval.
Bumped into Kevin there and then.. and interestingly enough, the fire engines came. Think there were three of them with their sirens blah blahing away. And there we were with another Singaporean guy talking about what we did when we had fire drills in our secondary schools. Walk slowly, compare with your friend from the next class which lesson you missed etc. And hear the OM screaming at you. hmm.
