Been following up on the news about the tidal waves and earthquakes that has killed 22 000 so far. Definitely devastating.. a bit terrifying as well, esp. when 100 ppl are still missing in Penang. Malaysia's never been a country that has been affected by earthquakes, tidal waves and the like. But I'm probably suffering from compassion fatigue as well, a sense of being bombarded by all these media images and real-time updates. Did anyone know Viktor Yushchenko, the Ukrainian opposition leader won the 26 Dec re-election? That's quite big news as well.
