comment ça va? (how are u?) :P
Didn't get back the anthropology essay during yesterday's tute - according to WebCT (which is like some e-learning portal, ala matrix tjc), it will only be out *soon* - i just saw the notice today. Anyway, the last anthro tute was yesterday.. and i just had my last history tute. Fiona brought us to the Hackett Coffee Hall for tutorial.. just sat there crapping about the last topic, which is globalisation.. It's funny how all the 4 units all seem to end up with globalisation, or sth related to it.
The current exchange rate is currently at a ghastly RM 2.87 to AUD 1.. i've never seen such astonishingly high AUD to RM rates in my life before. Luckily, I should have enough to last till April 05.. maybe it can last till May 05 if I buy less Smith Cheese and Onion chips :) so addicted to it.. :X
3rd French lesson.. still going relatively okay; currently doing grammar.. the teacher (Nathalie) was elaborating a great deal on the difference of using "vous" and "tu".. "vous" = you, but it's formal. like u know, for e.g. buying a train ticket at the metro. "tu" is informal... supposedly used for friends etc. She was saying that it is very impt to distinguish btwn when to use "tu" and "vous", cos' it is definitely a faux pas if u use them wrongly. Btw, faux pas = "unwise" social behaviour. It has kind of entered the english language already, so yeah :)
let's try to introduce myself in french.. i'm trying to drag time before my anthrop lecture starts anyway. jeremy is sleeping somewhere inside the library.
bonjour! je m'appelle will. je suis etudiant. j'habite à perth, en Australie.
Basically, brainless me is saying "hello. my name is will. i am a student. i stay in perth, australia."
Très bien! (very good) - sorry i'm being very egoistic here :)
have a nice day :)
