14/15 Feb 04 - Just finished watching the MTV Asia Awards 2004 on Channel I just now... but nothing beats watching the show live.. and I'm just glad that we managed to find tickets for yesterday and at a great buy too - RM48 per ticket.. went with daryl and jw. On the day before the show, people on yahoo auctions were like selling 'em for a pair for S$300 to S$500... like *wow* i should have bought more tickets or sth like that.. so we could have booked a hotel yday too haha...
Black Eyed Peas did the finale with their two hit songs - Shut Up and Where Is The Love (yeah, where on the world is the love this year for me man?).. it's like not many ppl seemed to remember it was friendship day.. or is it i'm forgotten already? Sugababes performed "Too Lost In You".. though i thought it'd be cooler if they sang "Hole in The Head" as well... and hey i didn't know Siti Nurhaliza could sing English songs so well... she sang a duet with Gareth Gates on "Say It Isn't So".. but the most hilarious one was this Thai group called "Bird Thongchai McIntyre" who performed this dancy song .. but it was all in Thai.. but looked very funny and entertaining though... mention also must be given to the opening act called the "Pussycat Dolls"... who did this pretty Moulin Rouge(y) song which I forgot what it is already.. talking about Moulin Rouge, did anyone catch it just now on Ch 5? It's like still so amazing this movie.. even though it's from three years ago already.. - "Come What May, I'll will love you until my dying day..."
One of the MTV sponsors, Hewlett Packard was giving away free digital, quite wall-sized posters of the artistes for free too... and i took back Stacie Orrico and Gareth Gates posters..
Called Wee Poh out for supper with us after the show was over.. went to Newton Hawker Ctr where we just talked and talked till like 3.30am.. mainly about army stuff loh. daryl's going in on the 17th Feb.. which is like tomorrow? bunked over at jw's house... slept till about 10am... ate breakfast together and went back to sleep... it's monday 12.30am already... school's starting in 7 hours time..
